Description
In 2002 Balvenie’s distillery manager Ian Millar installed a peat burner initiating an annual tradition where for one week each year the distillery runs heavily peated barley through its production. To craft the Balvenie Peated Cask mature Balvenie aged in new American oak is finished in casks that previously held peated whisky then blended with 17-year-old Balvenie matured in new American oak casks.
