Description
Description
| Widely regarded as one of the finest Balvenie releases, Tun 1401 showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of the distillery’s team. The marrying vat, carefully maintained by Balvenie’s coopers, is where Malt Master David Stewart brings together a selection of outstanding casks from Warehouse 24, demonstrating his remarkable skill in whisky maturation and blending. Batch No. 5 combines whiskies matured in sherry butts and ex-bourbon barrels, with vintages dating from 1966 to 1991. The selected casks include bourbon barrels numbered 5241, 7044, 17894, 2384 and 439, alongside sherry butts numbered 6444, 13144, 13838 and 978. This exceptional release reflects Balvenie’s dedication to traditional craftsmanship and the art of creating distinctive, characterful single malt whisky. |
