Description
In 2006, Don Julio and his family planted their final agave field. To honor his dedication and artistry, that harvest was meticulously distilled, aged in barrels, and reserved for a special purpose. To safeguard the tequila—and the exceptional agave piñas it came from—a Solera aging system was introduced. This method blends and matures tequilas with distinct profiles in a variety of casks, ensuring that the final harvest remains central to this rare Extra Añejo expression. Ultima Reserva is aged in ex-Bourbon oak barrels for 36 months, then finished in casks seasoned with Madeira wine.
