Description
This release is a continuation of The Balvenie Distillery’s acclaimed Tun 1401 series which consisted of nine batches. Building on its success Balvenie introduced the larger Tun 1509 capable of holding four times the volume. For this fifth batch seven European oak Sherry butts and thirty-five American oak barrels were selected and married together for several months. Each bottle includes a detailed diagram highlighting the key tasting notes from all 43 individual casks used in the vatting. This is batch number 5.
